EAIO Workshop

Words on Paper

This workshop is a guided exercise on putting pencil to paper and seeing what happens. Those who let go and let the words find the paper will find the distance between imagination and transformation is shorter than they think! Facilitator Tom McLaren uses carefully selected audio, verbal and visual prompts in each session to sequence thematic writing activities providing participants with insight into their past and future narratives.

    • This is an online workshop for small groups.

    • 4 sessions of 90 minutes. See upcoming dates by clicking “Register Here” below.

    • This workshop is for all levels, there is no prerequisite.

What to Expect

Using prompts to kick-off a time-constrained writing activity can spark writing in unexpected ways. A prompt can crack open the door to curiosity and a time constraint can get the pen moving - and keep it moving. And in the structured reflections we share after each activity you’ll not only learn how to provide useful feedback, you’ll also learn that your curiosity and delight in what others have written can be used to keep your pen moving outside of class.
