250 Hr Certification Program Application

  • To complete the application form below, you will need the following:

    • Discuss how do you want to apply the training to your personal and professional life.

      Regarding a group learning environment:

    • Describe what you imagine your strengths and challenges to be.

    • Describe your physical, emotional and mental health? And include any challenges/needs that you want us to know about (related to your physical, emotional and mental health.)

      Growth requires support and we require that you have mental health support in place while you are in training.

    • Describe how you will provide support for yourself (mentally/emotionally/physically) during your training program.

    • Please provide 2 letters of recommendation.

    • Upload your letters below in the application form.

    If you are currently receiving mental health therapy we will require an additional recommendation from your therapist/provider.

    Letters of recommendation must be from teachers, therapists, employers, or other professional relationships only. Letters from friends or family members will not be accepted.

  • A non-refundable fee of $250.00 is due upon applying. This will indicate your commitment to the training program and it will hold your spot in the program. You will pay your application fee below after submitting your form.

    • MATERIALS: Participants are responsible for purchasing their own materials (pastels, 18×24 drawing pad, journal book.)

    • REFUND POLICY: A student choosing to withdraw is eligible for a pro-rated refund based on the portion of training received. Details are provided in the Enrollment Agreement.

    • COMPLETION CRITERIA: Students are expected to attend classes as scheduled – similar to a work commitment. Students must attend no less than 90% of all scheduled training and complete all coursework to graduate. Tracking student progress (aka our grading system) is measured on a Pass / Fail basis. An EAIO certificate of completion will be issued upon satisfactory completion of the course. An ISMETA certificate for Associate Somatic Movement Professional is available upon successful completion of the first 250hrs of the training program. 

    • ATTENDANCE: As an important member of a group learning environment, your absence will be felt. If you must miss a session or a day, inform the Director.

    • COMPLAINT PROCEDURES: If an obstacle to learning occurs – for example, personal issues with a teacher or another student – these will be addressed primarily by the affected parties.  If a satisfactory resolution is not met, the Director will facilitate mediated discussion. Alternatively, students may provide verbal or written descriptions of any complaints to the Operations Officer: Tom McLaren, tom.mclaren@expressiveartsoregon.com 

  • After you submit your application, the EAIO team will review and be in touch within two weeks to notify you about your acceptance status into the program. Thank you and we look forward to reading your application!
